    "Kevin Correia is struggling.

The pitcher who last season led the Padres with 33 starts, 22 quality starts and 12 wins has an 8.68 ERA over his past four games.

After 13 starts this season, only three fall into the game's definition of quality. And Wednesday afternoon wasn't one of them.

Correia gave up five runs on nine hits over five-plus innings as the Padres lost the rubber-match of a three-game, interleague series to Toronto, 7-1, before only 16,050 at Petco Park.

The loss, only the club's fourth of the season by more than five runs, coupled with the Dodgers' 6-2 win in Cincinnati, dropped the Padres into second in the National League West for only the third day since April 20.

The game, however, is not what concerned Correia and Padres manager Bud Black. The string of games is."
