Could it really be? Is Dallas actually good?

They're about to go up 2-0 on the Fl@kers.

Maybe they're good after all and the refs didn't hand them the series in the first round??? Did we just lose to a better team?

I won't say so until they knock out the L*kers.

It could be, but it also couldn't be.

They just walked into LA and took the first two games on the two time champs.

    That's deep!

I love that the Fl@ker "fans" are booing their team. Loyal bastards.

Yeah, but what if L*kers take 4 in a row. Can't put it past them.

The Mavs have been up 2-0 before and lost.

I think the Lakers have been down 0-2 and won a series, right?

Nah, I really don't think they will. Dallas had their chance to add to their long history of playoff chokes after Game 4 against us and they came back. And then coming to PDX to close out on the road really gave them a nice boost in confidence as well. I think they're playing very well and with a lot of confidence right now. Doesn't look like these Mavs are going to choke this series away.

    About nipple high.

Ron Ron going nuts, Kobe will probably cry in the media, and Phil will smirk.

Mavs are going to the Finals, as I predicted. Whether they beat the Bulls is another story. :)

Yes, regardless of the outcome of this series. Doesn't the fact that they were the 3rd seed with 57 wins and we were the 6th seed with 48 wins kinda indicate they are the better team? Well, that and the fact they beat us 4-2.

Phil Jackson is a horrible coach, he has no clue what he's doing. That's the only possible way Dallas is winning, right?

We weirdos were considered wackos in the threads where some of us advocated tanking for the Spurs. :MARIS61:

This is a different Mavs team with three different/better starters in Kidd, Marion, and Chandler. Furthermore, in 2006, games 3-5 were in Miami. In THIS series, Dallas is going HOME for Games 3 & 4. We might've just seen Phil coach his last game at Staples.

Phil has never been back from 0-2. I'm not sure the Lakers as a franchise have ever been back from 0-2. Definitely not in the last 20 years. It's only been done like 14 times. And it almost NEVER happens after losing the first two at home. One of the teams that HAS done it? Dallas against Houston in 2005.

    This is the Mavs' year.

I still think that was a bad idea. We still would've had to go through Dallas eventually anyway. Champs don't tank for playoff seeding. No banners are hung for winning a round.

I said after the series that the better team won. And that we got royally screwed by the refs in game 1. Other than that, I agree: Dallas seems to be the real deal. Losing to them doesn't look so bad now.
