By most accounts, it seems as if Amar'e Stoudemire will not be back with the Suns, and will instead seek a max contract elsewhere in free agency. So what's the Suns' Plan B? According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, it could be David Lee. He writes: "Should the Suns lose Stoudemire, sources say Sarver is considering the possibility of making a push for New York Knicks free-agent forward David Lee. For the cost-cutting Sarver, Lee could be obtainable for $20 million-$30 million less over the life of a contract. Lee could command a five-year contract worth around $60 million. It would likely take the renouncing of valued bench player Channing Frye for the Suns to aggressively pursue Lee." While some will view a possible Lee replacement as a talent drop, ESPN Insider Tom Haberstroh has written that Lee is one of the game's best at the pick-and-roll -- something Stoudemire thrived on with Steve Nash, while also finding an outside shot this past season. Add in his work on the boards, and he could be a nice pickup for the team this offseason in free agency. Source: Woj
