The Coyotes play exhibition games Tuesday in Calgary and Wednesday in Edmonton. Final roster spots will be determined on performances in those games before the team embarks on a European trip that includes an exhibition in Riga, Latvia, and two regular-season games in Prague against Boston. With that type of tight schedule, Tippett did not get the kind of practice he wanted Monday. "It's a different phase of the camp here right now," he said. " . . .
