If he's gone I hope he goes to Portland or else he goes east.

Uh, fucking really CP3? The Knicks what the flying fuck are you completely high? If this is accurate my respect for CP3 went down the drain faster then Hedo's career after inking with Toronto. That's just fucking sad.

"I'm Chris Paul and David Stern....uh....I mean myself and my inner circle want me to play in one of these three HIGH QUALITY teams."

I almost don't want him now...almost. Seriously if he went to NYK (who and WHAT do they have that's worth a shit again?!?!) I would vomit let alone the other two.

The Lakers don't have anything of value to trade for him.

The Magic have slightly better assets they could deal.

The Knicks....... right. Why he would want to go there is beyond me. All they have is Amare and...... Amare.

If I were the Blazers I would propose a trade to NO, if they sign off, I would ask permission to speak to CP3 and have Brandon and LMA convince him to come here.

The Knicks play in the largest media market in the country (world?) They have Mike D'Antoni Paul's assistant with the Olympic team, they have Amare', Ray Felton to back him up (assuming he wouldn't be traded), Danillo on the wing to catch his passes and an up and comer in Anthony Randolph and that team is not done spending. But I'd wager the city holds as much or more appeal than the actual roster in New York. As for Orlando, he'd get to play with Dwight, or if he went to LA he'd get to pair up with Kobe, Bynum and Pau.

If you're Paul don't those situations look a lot more appealing than coming to backwater Portland?

IF we could pull a trade to get him it would be worth it even if he walks...odds are we would pick up a nice trade exception....

Except those teams aren't going to get Paul for free. Just like with Portland, they are going to have to give up some significant assets in order to land Paul.

Yeah, but who will NOLA get from LA that would be worth it? I highly doubt Paul gets traded to the Lakers. If I were the Hornets I would trade him to NY, if I had to trade him to one of those three places.

Just when I had let the pipe dream go, and now this. I know we aren't on the list, but I am sure he would be interested if we could get him and not give up Oden, Roy LMA. I hope we don't need to give up Batum, bit I think he would be the cost.

Looking at those three rosters, they don't have shit in value to trade for Paul. I just don't see it.

Well if he doesn't want to play here, then I really don't want him. It seems he is going to force his way to one of those teams one way or another whether it be by trade or when he is a free agent.

I don't know if I want to blow up our squad to get him. He could bounce in 2 years!

The Knicks seems that they don't have the ability to give the Hornets a ton of value, and yet still have enough on their team to be good. Maybe it is possible they could come up with some sort of two year plan where they can round out the team next summer, but I don't see how.

The Lakers I am not sure they want to pay Kobe, Pau AND Paul MAX money all together. But, if they did, I suppose they try to pull something off, but I don't think they have the mix of assets that would make the Hornets excited to trade to a Western Conference team.

Orlando, I had mentioned in a previous post, would be the most interesting team. The Paul / Howard pairing is very exciting from a basketball standpoint. The Orlando owners are spending big money now trying to go for it. I think if they were interested they could have the best shot.

Somebody run through the trade checker and see what deals the Knicks, LA and Orlando could come up with.

True ... although I suspect the Magic would offer up Jameer Nelson and other pieces which would soften the blow some, the Lakers don't have a lot of depth, but they do have some pieces (Bynum or Odom I would guess?). New York could offer Toney Douglas and ... capspace?

The real catch is that would he want to come and play in Portland, assuming that Roy, LMA and Oden would be still be here? There's been a lot of injuries to this roster and would he question how durable they are likely to be going forward, would he want to hitch his wagon to these potentially fragile players? That might be a tough sell.

He should relate well to injuries, he seems to be injury prone of late too...

I was looking... about the only thing LA could offer would be Bynum, but that leaves them thin up front, and I'm not even sure NOH would want Bynum's gimpy knees making that much money.

Orlando could offer Jameer Nelson and a bunch of scrubs, but they don't have any expirings.

New York could offer..... even less. I guess they could trade Eddy Curry's expiring, Gallinari, and Anthony Randolph for CP3, but then the team would be absolutely terrible.
