Looking for some recommendations for a CPA/Tax person. I only had one job 9-5 job last year and a few odd jobs that are being filed for taxes, the odd jobs were for filming things, I am looking for someone who maybe specializes in helping new business/freelance workers as i am trying to write off some expenses (gas) and some equipment that i own (cameras, video stock, hard drives ect) Does anyone have any suggestions? the person i had suggested to me was already full and Id like to try and get it done before next week when i leave for a week trip. Thanks ahead of time!
elcap who posts here sometimes is one...but he is in LA....and has a shitload of clients...maybe he will see this thread
My neighbor is a accountant at a small firm. She used to work for KPMG but decided to go to work part time and go to a smaller firm (she said given the economy, many businesses are ditching the big accounting firms and going with a small botique firm). I find her incredibly bright and she handles these kinds of matters. I don't have her info on me, I could get it if your interested. Pretty sure her firm is in Washington County or she might do independent work to help you out . . . but to meet with her would most likely be on the west side.
im am most certainly interested!! if you could pm me her info that would be great! the two people that i had lined up were really good but expensive and i was going to go to them just so i could get advice too. being as i didnt make much money last year i shouldnt really need to spend over 150 for taxes really i just need advice about what to look for and what reciepts to keep and what not and maybe advice of how to start a llc or something not really sure. but please send me her info and im more than happy to go talk to her.
I used to work with a woman whose father is a CPA, tax guy, and Blazers season ticket holder. Only problem is that he lives in the Salem-area. You want me to get a number for you?
