<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Bulls guard Jamal Crawford was staring down a wide-open three-pointer, but it didn't feel right -- until he heard a voice. Crawford missed his first three attempts Saturday against the New Orleans Hornets, and his energy -- especially on defense -- was so low he was hooked in favor of rookie Kirk Hinrich 3:20 into the game. So with 2:40 left in the first quarter, Crawford found himself a few feet away from coach Scott Skiles while looking to pass up an open shot until he heard what must have sounded like his inner voice. "Let it go,'' Skiles said. Crawford didn't have time to marvel at the idea of a head coach encouraging him to fire from long range, so he elevated, launched and connected. Crawford didn't think twice the rest of the evening as he finished with a game-high 28 points, including 23 in the fourth quarter. His 10 field goals in the fourth set a United Center record, but it wasn't enough as the Bulls fell 97-91. "I originally took Jamal out because I wasn't happy with his defense, and I thought Kirk came in and did a better job,'' Skiles said. "But Jamal didn't sit over there and sulk or pout. He stayed ready and came in and got hot. That's a good sign.'' </div> also.... <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Crawford is averaging 26.7 points in the three games since Skiles took over while shooting 47 percent from the field. </div> Crawford's hearing voices now? ....That's scary... Its good to hear that Crawford accepted the coach's decision to bench him in the game, and did so w/o pouting. This could be a sign of maturity. Let's hope Crawford is finally putting this together. We will need him to be good to salvage the season. Its also nice to see he is picking up the scoring lost in the trade. And he is shooting better. Both are very instrumental parts to help make a run at the playoffs. http://www.suntimes.com/output/bulls/cst-spt-bull082.html
Crawford is such a huge talent. It would be great to see him put it all together. I have seen his scoring, since the trade, and I think he needs to improve his defense. But keep up the work Crawford!
