Does anyone here have any credit cards? Kind of a random topic, but just wondering. Personally I have 3. If so what kind do you guys have? I have a Capitol One Platinum Mastercard, a Household Bank Platinum Mastercard, and a Bank of America Alaska Airlines Classic Visa.
I try to stay away from credit cards because in the end you'll be paying more than you normally would if you bought it with cash or check.I use the check cards so you don't have to write out all the checks and keep buying check books. It's very fast.
Credit cards are ridiculous to me, people get so far into debt because of them. I just have my debit card.
Ya I usually use them until the 0% interest is up then cancel them. I keep the Alaska Airlines one because I am saving miles to go on a trip to the Caribean, and that is one of the places the miles can be used for.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Mr Wolf @ May 3 2006, 04:13 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I try to stay away from credit cardsvery fast.</div>Your not even old enough to get one yet are you?

We use the check card when we buy things online or at the store. It's the way to go if you don't have cash. Stay away from credit.

I dont have any. I'm old enough to get some, but i just choose not to.Maybe when i'm older, just dont think i'm mature enough to have them yet. I think i would go crazy buying stuff, then go into debt at an early age.

I don't want my parents to have to co-sign on my first mortgage for me.

They say the average American household has like $10,000 in credit card debt. That is a lot of money that American families owe because of credit.
Ya but the average American also owes like 200k on their house too  Most people don't own anything these days. It's a pretty viscious cycle.
I personally have two credit cards, and of course my debit card. I've had them for about two years now, and I rarely use them. However, when I do use them I pay the entire bill off, because those interest rates can be a bi*ch.
