First, ESPN treated us to Joe Theismann's NFL defecations every Sunday night. (If you should look up defecate at www.m-w.com, definition number two is the appropriate meaning though "the Anus" should probably be capatalized since the reference to Theismann changes it into a proper noun.) Now, NBC is going to burden us with hiring of Cris Collinsworth for the one-hour studio show before the game. I guess it could have been worse. They could have put Collingsworth in the booth.

Look! Cris Collinsworth must have bought the Slammy from Owen Hart's estate sale because there's no way on earth that someone could have actually have given Collinsworth an Emmy. Hmmmm. Maybe Collinsworth paid Pack Attack to photoshop the Emmy into the pic. Pack Attack, you big sellout!!!

I hate theisman and I hate Joe Buck and I hate Collinsworth.

    CBS has the better announcers.

I don't mind Joe Buck. I think that Buck and Aikman without Collingsworth sounds like a pretty decent booth to me.

I just hate buck cus he always refuses to give anything New England or Boston credit...when he does baseball he might as well have pinstripes on his face since his head is so far up the yankees ass...as for Collinsworth..he ranks up there with Mark Schlereth (sp?) and Merril Hodge as the people I hate most...with Salisbury bringing up the rear in that category. Hodge might as well wear his steelers jersey during every show he is on.

I think that is a decent team too. With CC gone, I'm looking forward to not having to look for the mute button. I think Aikman is getting to be one of the best analysts. I thought his ex-teammate Daryl Johnston was better right out of the gate, but Aikman has improved.

Get Chris Berman and Stewart Scott up there for ESPN.

I don't like any Fox announcers. I used to like Pat Summeral but now he has lost it. Madden gets annoying and Michaels is alright. I heard somewhere that they want Bob Costas to do the NBC broadcasting with madden as the play by play.

I think Monday Night Football should bring back Dennis Miller ASAP, Woulden't it be grand you've got Madden talkin about Turkey Legs in one corner and in the other you've got Miller breaking down the anatomical structure of the same turkey leg [IMG] AWSOME!

Cris Collingsworth was a guest on NFL Total Access this evening. Collingsworth said the Dick Ebersol asked him to help with the putting together of the show and help with the hiring. How did Collingsworth become such a big wig? The hiring pool must be awful shallow this year.

    *laughs* That's funny stuff...

Personally, I don't like Collinsworth at all. I DO like the fact that he's not afraid to call out ANYONE for ANYTHING they do...but, he often comes across as a "know it all" Dick. That's not cool.

Buck and Aikman will be MUCH better off without him in the booth.

As for him running his own pre-game show? Eh... I won't be watching.

I just have to ask. Do you spit in the faces of people who aren't cool? In Collinsworth case, I hope so.

Dale; Carlito? What gives. The cabana sucks. The highlight reel rules.

I hope NBC comes to their senses and has Bob Costas do the play by play. After all, he is already under contract to NBC & is the premiere play by play announcer in Baseball & Football.

Chris Collinsworth did say that HE was working on getting Bob Costas. I think his exact words were that, "I have my team in place to lobby for Costas." He said that on NFL Total Access.
