<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Reports out of Boston say the Celtics would be willing to part with Al Jefferson (6-10, 22), and Gerald Green (6-8, 21) for Gasol. Jefferson is a nice player who's shown improvement during his three years in the league, averaging 14 points and 10 boards this season.</div> http://www.commercialappeal.com/mca/grizzl...5331377,00.html
That's a bargain for Boston if they pull off the trade. Green and Al have shown flashes, but Gasol is an All-Star caliber frontcourt player, still young, and is very consistent. The duo of Pierce-Gasol would do damage in the league, plus whoever the team adds with their 1st round pick, presumably Oden or Durant. Grizzlies would have to take a look at this if Chicago backs off Gasol. Obviously some other pieces would have to be included to match Gasol's contract.
Even though the dunk contest isnt the best method to evaluate Gereld Green's talents I am willing to wait and see how well he does in the dunk contest to decide if its worth it for the celtics to keep Gerald. However, Jefferson has so far proved himself this season averaging career numbers. And even though Gasol is an All-Star caliber player you have to factor in his tendency of get injured. Gasol is an injury proned player.

By your logic, James White should be worth something in this league. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">And even though Gasol is an All-Star caliber player you have to factor in his tendency of get injured.
