Well, this should be an exciting matchup, I sure do hope we can keep this one away from a buzzer-beater, I couldn't take another one of those.
They are on the bad half of a back-to-back, but they destroyed the Supes last night so they got to rest key players for this game. Pau Gasol has been a monster so far this year, so we need to stop him first and foremost. Other than that, we need to control tempo and hopefully get the Grizz to play our game. Like you said, should be exciting. All of our games have been. Let's just hope we are the winners this time.
2:48 to go in the first, and this team is just plain fun to watch. Delonte's block was awesome, and the offense just keeps making good passes. Blount is BACK, let's face it. Other than that, the defense is a little slow, but Reed has been helping with that. Fun game so far.
Ahhhhhhhhh if only Scalabrine had released that a second before. Our team is becoming a block machine between Delonte and Perk... Some horrible refereeing led to a foul call on the Perkins block though. Delonte is quickly becoming my favorite player on the team and in the league...I never realized how one of my top 3 favorite players (along with Delonte and Manu), Mike Miller, looks in his new haircut: ew.
Dear Doc Rivers, Justin Reed cannot score. He may be a better defender than Ryan Gomes, but since the second unit can't score, maybe you should try Gomes out a little. You can even put him in at the four instead of Veal because he'll definitely produce more for you than that big red stiff does. Thanks, 44Thrilla
Is anybody hating on Scalabrine as much as I am. I am absolutely pining for Gomes. I'm really REALLY getting mad at this loser. He can't play for crap. If he wants to be the 15th man, I totally understand, but him being 3rd or 4th off the bench is way too soon. And where'd the rebounding go? And will a single ref let Perk play? They're all over his balls on every play. Drives me crazy. It's garbage calls too. That block was just the tip of the iceberg.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting H.ayes:</div><div class="quote_post">Dear Justin Reed, You suck at shooting free throws. Love, The world.</div> He'd be the best free-thrower shooter (Mighty Mouse aside) on the Grizz We'd be barely over 50% this year, but i guess at 3-1 it's nice to have an area we can improve upon.
Following the letter theme: Dear Mike Fratello, That hair piece is tragic. It's the second worst I've ever seen. Second only to Donald Trump. That thing is intense. Much Love, Your PR Rep Well, twelve at the half, and it should be a lot worse. Thanks only to some steady defense for about two minutes out of the half. We need some real improvement with rotations to slow down their shooters. And when we're done with that, we could stand to have a little extra rebounding. The boardwork has been awful. The glimpse of running we've seen has been great, but West is too scared to run all the time.
Oh man This game went from good to bad once the second unit entered. I can honestly say that the combination of Dickau and Scalabrine on the court leads to the Celtics not scoring a lot of points. Justin Reed won't shoot or look to score. Al Jefferson is STILL on the bench with Ryan Gomes...hmmmm. I don't want Scalabrine in this lineup. I don't want him on this team. I don't want him in this city. I don't want him in this country. I don't want him on this planet. What is he good at other than drawing my full rage and ire and making me and my friends yell at my 27" Sharp TV? Dickau is getting eaten alive by Bobby Jackson like a chicken sandwich with only 7 grams of fat in it at a Subway by Jared....These guys can shoot REALLY WELL..Lawrence Roberts is relentless...Perkins has 2 points and 21 rebounds as of this writing for the season...he averages 6 rebounds a game...OFF THE BENCH! That is phenomenal. Too bad the C's rotation minus Allen and Banks has so many scoring and defensive deficiencies. I turned to the Miami vs. Indiana game on ESPN and I'm switching back and forth...I'm afraid if Scalabrine screws up again I'll bust a blood vessel. Since House doesn't exist in real life I'D BE SCREWED..for my health I'll watch this game in moderation. Go C's! One.
Dear Danny Ainge, Thank you so much for signing Brian Scalabrine. He has been an excellent addition to the squad. And to think that we have five more years of this! How lucky are we? You made the deal of a lifetime, Danny. Signing Brian for such a small amount of money was a great accomplishment. Thanks again, Nobody
Who ready for the classic Adam Sandler letter to Scalabrine? I'll bust it out. Dear Brian Scalabrine, Eat **** and kill yourself. Signed, Everyone
There is one thing that's good about the Veal signing. Making fun of him will never get old. You always need one of those guys. Anyway, we're starting to play smart again. It's only a 6 point lead now because of nice ball movement and defensive stops.
Scalabrine Bashing If it helps at all with your group hatred of "Veal" I laughed when I saw that the Celtics had signed him. Then again I cried when I saw almost everything the knicks did this offseason......
Somebody must've lit a fire under West's butt, all of a sudden, he and Pauly have this game going the other way. 69-65 right now, and we're runnin'. Little basket-hangin' by Ricky, fun to watch. I like what I see, and no Veal in sight. No Jerome James either Wohl, he's been everything Isiah paid for him I hear. Just kiddin'. Anybody else notice that Robert Parish looks like a retired cokehead? I wonder how you get that look...

After that, I tried to find the positives, like I usually do. But now that I've seen him play a few games in Celtic green, I realize that the positives are few and far between. As for the game, our defensive itensity has improved. Pierce has rised to the occasion and he's been lighting it up. Hopefully we can get it close or take a lead before the B-unit comes in and blows it.
Little rooftop action, and the game's tied. Everyone's playing hard, we're making shots, and no Veal in sight. Blount looks phenomenal, and Eddie Jones is playing like he's about 60 all of a sudden.

I hope Gomes can do some good things and steal some minutes away from Reed. Well, just the fact that he's out there might mean Doc finally learned that Justin can't score.
What a punk Bobby Jackson is. You think you get to stare down a second year player for trying to make a play? What a jerk. I hope somebody cuts him down to size. When Delonte ran at his three he stared him down while he was on the floor. I bet he would've done the same thing if he missed it too, guy's intense, but he's stupid about it.

I don't think it's anything personal against Delonte, he's just like that on the floor. He's one of those guys that gets into your head, remember when T-Mac threw the ball at his face?
