Well we'll see what happens. I knew Cuban would get bored with the Mavs sooner or later. Lets just hope he doesn't over try. Because last time that happened XFL lasted one year. Sounds like Cuban has the same idea as Vince McMahon did, try to compete with the NFL. Which nothing will ever come near

This'll just turn over just like the XFL, but it will be fun to see who and what is involved. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>...considering formation of a football league that would compete with the NFL for players drafted lower than the second round.</div>Would college players even prefer to go to this new league over the NFL? Please. I doubt it. Especially if it's only an 8-team league...

Only guys who went undrafted out of a D-II or D-III school are going to want to play in this league. I don't see how this league will succeed if it's during the fall... :no3:. There is no way anyone is going to watch this crap while the NFL and NCAA are playing their games. I would watch this in the spring maybe just to check some players out.

I wouldn't underestimate this league as much as some of you are. I think it will have its hardaches, but it's not like the XFL as much as you guys think.

It might be bearable to watch if it isn't gimmicky like the XFL. Trying to compete with the juggernaut NFL though is suicide.

the fact that they're makin a new league and all is cool, but still, they're competing with the NFL, the NFL!!!!, the MULTI-Billion dollar sports league that flat out owns Professional Football, even if this somehow manages to survive, there is no way in hell itll even begin to COMPETE with the NFL

I think a type of minor league would be a cool/better idea. But to compete with the NFL? Not a good idea for football in general in my opinion.

I wish Cuban would start a league to compete with the NBA. I'd watch that and he'd have a much better chance than he would competing with the NFL.

I loved the XFL the one year it existed. I watched like every game. I like those spin-offs like the XFL, AFL, and Slam Ball. Bring back the XFL!
