Update: Per the team, the pitcher will be Yoervis Medina Medina is a big-bodied RHP who throws hard (92-96 mph, t98) and adds a slider, but he has had command issues. It is a flyer for the Cubs who were not able to get much value in return for their young catcher this offseason and it would appear that did not change even as catcher needs developed around the league. The Cubs do open up another 25 man roster spot, so that gives them some flexibility.
