In the case that the W-L Record is tied at the end of the season, I believe it is settled by a coin toss (they really need a better way of deciding it)

A coin toss is a matter of chance, and if they are looking at records they might as well further investigate the teams that they beat/lost to to determine who gets the higher pick. That's real, that's not some rediculous coin toss that has a huge impact on the team's future.
