http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/2009/...t-to-nfl-draft/ Great move by Curry. From the interviews with him I've read in magazines and such he seems like a real class act. St. Jude is a children's cancer research hospital in Memphis. They are always doing things done with athletes and coaches when they know the children there don't have much time left.
My parents know this guy that works at St. Jude and is actually going to Harvard next year and is going to be one of the leaders in the cancer research. He said last year there was this 16 year old that was a huge LSU fan that got a call from Glen Dorsey and Les Miles. He died a week later though.
It is a good story and a great move by Curry, but imagine a scenario in which Curry starts to fall a bit....hes super talented, but he plays a position that isn't considered critical by a lot of teams and could slip....how painful is it going to be if we are sitting and watching him and this kid for 3 hours on draft day?....if you thought the Brady Quinn saga was uncomfortable, what would this be like?....
OR, how awsome would it be if he got drafted number one? We need a LB and he is the best one out there.
