<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">These are not the best of days for Bulls center Eddy Curry, who thought by now he would be celebrating a lucrative, long-term contract agreement to stay in Chicago.

Free agents Ray Allen and Michael Redd have to wait until July 22, like everyone else, before signing their contracts, but at least they have agreements in hand to stay in Seattle and Milwaukee, respectively.

Bulls operations chief John Paxson has maintained he'll keep Curry and his other restricted free agents -- Tyson Chandler, Chris Duhon and Jannero Pargo -- but Curry is frustrated by the pace of negotiations. The Bulls reportedly are considering a short-term, incentive-laden offer to protect their investment in the wake of Curry's episodes with an irregular heartbeat, which ended his season March 30.

''Honestly, I feel like I've been through enough,'' Curry said Thursday after going through his third day of workouts with trainer Tim Grover at the WestLoop Athletic Club. ''I feel like I've done everything that people have asked me to do to prove I'm healthy enough to play. The doctors have cleared me and said I can play. But I feel like right now, it should happen the way they said it was going to happen.</div>

As much as I love Eddy's game, I get the feeling that he likes to whine a lot when things don't go the way he planned. It's not the first time he airs his frustration in public, and he should learn to keep things like this out of the media. I don't think Pax appreciates leaks like this very much.
He doesn't seem to get that the NBA is a business in the first place, and that teams want to know what they get into when signing off on multi-million dollar deals that could affect their cap space for years to come. Like I said, I love his game, but i also feel he still hasn't proved to be worth 60 plus millions over 5 years...

Paxson has said he wants to keep Curry, but if I were Curry I would be frustrated to. I mean I can look at this from his position he has done everything asked of him the past two years to get a new contract, and stay with his home town team yet there always playing him. Hey Curry go get in shape this off-season we will give you a new contract. Curry loses thirty pounds no new contract. Hey Curry get your heart condition cleared and we will give you a new contract. Curry gets it cleared still no deal. Next they will probably say hey Curry go jump off a building and we will give you a new contract. Knowing how much Curry wants to return he we would probably do it.

Curry has been pretty loyal to the organization this off-season we have heard of the Cavs, 76ers, Knicks, etc being interested in Eddy this off-season yet he has never displayed interest in return to those teams. He has been negotiating with the Bulls and the Bulls only really, and been getting into shape again. I do believe his heart condition has been resolved all these teams showing interest know it has been as well that's why they are so quick to bite right now.

Even if he does leave I do not think it will be to a team like the Knicks or Cavs, because they got no pieces to offer to us. Nothing we want.

All valid points, but i'm just saying he shouldn't take this stuff to the press. If he has a problem with the way things are going, he should just pick up his phone and clear it out with Pax.

For me, it's the same situation as back in january, with that story about him wanting to be traded. He went into damage control after that, firing his current agent at the time (if i'm not mistaking).

He just seems to take the business side of negotiations a bit too personally. Just relax and let it all play out. Pax always said he was going to match every offer, and I'm sure he's a man of his word, so he will get his money sooner or later. So I just don't see any added value in going public with some comment about the whole process going too slow. You just know it's not going to help anything.

    btw
