<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Eddy Curry played for three coaches in his first three seasons in the NBA. Perhaps that's why Tuesday's news that Scott Skiles will sign a contract through 2008-09 had Curry smiling. "For me, it's a plus because I know him and know what he expects of me," Curry said. "It's always good to have continuity, both for the organization and the players. There hasn't been a lot of that around here lately." Curry declined comment on his heart condition that, along with the re-signing of restricted free agents Tyson Chandler and Chris Duhon, are the next items on general manager John Paxson's to-do list. Curry's teammates were equally happy about Skiles' contract. "I think he deserves it after the job he did," guard Ben Gordon said. "In the end, he got us wins. It was a group effort, but there's good chemistry with [Skiles]. It's definitely good to know that I'll be there with someone I've had a year playing for. I know what to expect." Paxson always maintained he sought continuity, which is why he was able to distance himself from Skiles' emotional comments Monday. "Our young guys and our team, they've developed in large part because of Scott's ability to teach the game," Paxson said.</div> Source
This is great news for us! This means that Skiles was getting through to the players. Especially Curry. I mean they had some problems but this means that Curry knew that Skiles was doing what was right for him and the team! This is great news!
