Orlando Magic guard Keith Bogans put on a scoring display Saturday evening scoring 38 points (13-17 FG) as he led the Magic over the Boston Celtics in the Reebok Vegas Summer League. Bogans also pulled down four rebounds and dished out four assists in the win.
First overall pick Dwight Howard had a solid game contributing 26 points (7-13 FG) and 10 rebounds for Orlando. Howard was very active around the hoop and displayed some nice post moves that send him to the free throw line. Dwight was 12 of 14 from the free throw line. Jimmie ?Snap? Hunter chipped in 21 points (9-15 FG) for the Magic, while rookie Jameer Nelson had eight points and six assists.

Rookie Delonte West was 7 of 14 from the field to lead the Celtics with 20 points. Fellow rookie Al Jefferson, who coming into today was one of the most impressive performers of the summer league, was limited to six points and four rebounds in 20 minutes.

Orlando took a 67-47 lead into halftime shooting 55 percent, while Boston shot 41 percent. The Magic finished the game shooting 57 percent (43-75 FG), while the Celtics shot 47 percent (34-72 FG).

The Magic came cut the Celtics lead down to five (76-81) with 2:30 left in the third quarter, but that would as close as they would get.

Celtic big man Kendrick Perkins did not dress for the game.

The Magic controlled the paint, dominating the Celtics 52-36 and getting 19 second chance points, compared to Boston?s eight. Orlando also had 20 fast break points compared to Boston?s four.

Orlando will battle the Cleveland Cavaliers tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 p.m., while Boston will face the Washington Wizards at 5:00 p.m. in the final day of action for the Reebok Vegas Summer League.</div>

He was matched up with al jefferson the guy everyone was saying was better than him. he totally dominated jefferson holding him to only six points. This is a big confidence boost for him I think.

Shouldnt the title of this thread be Keith Bogans Explodes! He has been really impressive during the Summer Leauge.

But it looks like Dwights offensive game is coming to him,its good that he is being agressive and getting to the foul line and actualy making the majority of his free throws.

bogans is going to be a big surprise this year, i think with tmac's injuries last year bogans got some pretty valuable experience. that is carrying over to this year and even though its a sl game, he could be like a bobby jackson, a spark off the bench. we also got hedo off the bench [IMG]

The reason of the title is because he had a struggled a bit on offense and he finally busted out.

Keith is back to his regular self again. Great improvement after scoring 9 last game. Dwights offensive games has improved, hopefull it will continue to improve. Jameer had an off game scoring wise. I would like to see him in double digits more. Great game by the summer team overall though

Bogans shouldn't even be in the league if you ask me. He did well enough last season in the regular season, I have no idea why they put him in this summer league. IMO, he'll be a nice threat off the bench this year as he was last year.
