Packers Former Backup TE is now a Backup TE / FB. He learned another position.

Thats cool, versatility is always a plus. Thats why guys like Randel El are so valuable. Especially with the redskins QB's LOL!

I dunno, they say he's an good blocker from the Tight end spot, but blocking from the FB spot is a little more difficult, I sure hope he pans out well here though, The guy used to play wide out, then went to Te, and is now dabbling at FB, hopefully he finds his Niche here.

Martin has been here far to long and has nothing to show for it. Fans in Green Bay have been pleaing for his release for years now and he always manages to hang around. Knowing another position and possibly doing well there would be a good way to get the fans on his side again.

The name Martin under the Packers had me curious to know whether Ingle Martin made the cut? I really liked what I saw of him at the combine.

Yep he made the roster. He's the #3 behind Favre and Rodgers. He hasn't looked good in camp though and is more of a project. I wouldn't be shocked to see him let go next year especially if he makes no strides. GB drafted him to be the long term backup to Aaron Rodgers.

I think the farther Martin moves from needing to catch the ball the better. I just hope Willy is soon back and healthy
