Thoughts? After they traded Shaq, it's clear they're in the mood for a change. Is Wade happy about this season?
How about we bring Wade to NJ with Kidd still. That's scenerio A. How would we do it?
Scenerio B would be Wade coming over but Kidd gets traded one way or another. What would happen then?
This of course is a far-fetched idea. No one says D-Wade wants to get traded and if he does, NJ will be a destination. He'll probably go out west too.

the other scenario is trading Kidd to the Heat.

The Shaq trade is about making things better for Wade. Miami is a place that Marion would resign and Riley still has the expiring contracts of Davis and Williams to trade.

I will not be shocked if Bibby joins Wade and Marion

Kidd for Davis, Jason Williams, Mourning, Dorrell Wright, and one or two 1st round picks--preferably one this year; after this deal the Heat won't have a top-five pick anyway.

    Heat would have Kidd-Wade-Marion-Haslem--pretty solid.

Nets would get expiring contracts, a good-looking young player, and a couple of decent-to-good draft picks.

Mouring would be forced to retire a Net.

--This is probably the best the Nets could do (unless Dallas panics), and it is reasonable and it would help everyone, and Mourning gets tortured. What could be better?

I like it, especially the Mourning part.

    1) No one is giving up that much for Kidd. If they were, he would have already been traded

    2) Kidd doesn't really help a Wade - Marion lineup as Wade needs the ball. Bibby can come off screens and make shots.

Memphis just traded Pau for expiring contracts, a young (non-lottery pick) kid (Crittenden) and two first round picks, and were universally panned for it. I'm proposing trading Kidd for expiring contracts, a young (non-lottery pick) kid (Wright), and two first round picks. Is Pau THAT much better than Kidd that the SAME trade is not feasible? Especially in light of the fact that EVERYONE thinks Memphis got ripped off, and several teams have since said that they would have offered MORE had they known that a deal was about to go down?

    In short yes.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>A person with knowledge of the Nets' thinking said the team has offered Kidd and Vince Carter around the league, but has received not a single enticing proposal for either one. In some cases, the offer for Kidd - who turns 35 next month - does not even include an expiring contract. The offers for Carter, who signed a four-year, $61-million extension last summer, have been laughable; nothing but bad contracts in return.

    ...

So the Nets have an unhappy superstar they won't trade for less than full value.</div>
