Dale Brown has theory on Shaq's poor NBA foul shooting

QUOTE

When Shaquille O'Neal and Dale Brown, his coach at LSU, were taping O'Neal's ABC series on childhood obesity, they reminisced over O'Neal's college tapes and noticed Shaq took much less time between his first and second free-throw attempts back then. Brown -- who respects Pat Riley and does not want to intervene -- suspects that's one reason O'Neal shot free throws better in college (57.5 percent). Shaq slipped to a career-low 42.2 percent last season. -- Miami Herald

I got my own theories. He's been chasing down Cubans who he thinks that have bedded his wife!

I just think it is absolutely ridiculous that he can't shoot 70% from the free-throw line. There is no execuse for a pro to shoot that low from the line.

Besides his lack of "form" and pushing the ball towards the rim, I think shooting free-throws is just a mentalproblem for Shaq.
