SPURS-VS-Dallas..(2 Quarter)! Its the second quarter and we are leading 36-18 with 9:40 to play....Hedo is pacing us with 10 points..With parker just behind him on 9..Rasho is also ripping down the boards with 9 rebounds and has contributed 6 points..To go along with 1 block..Go spurs!
wow.. 59-33 spurs at the half... mavs look flatter than ever.. looks like they will be 0-2 on this important road trip spurs are doing a great job overall.. nice d and running and scoring at will
Spurs up 59-33 at HT I can't believe what I'm watching, Tony Parker is playing amazing basketball. Hedo knocking down open shots and what in the world has happened to Rasho? since Duncan has gone down he has been getting double doubles every game Anyone see that play by Horry? WOW Spurs up 26 without Duncan? who would of thought that. Spurs could go 3-1 without Duncan, impressive uh.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AllNet:</div><div class="quote_post"> Anyone see that play by Horry? WOW </div> After all these years, Horry can still get up..amazing.... it also helps that the Mavs dont box out... i could get to the rim on em
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Nash slashed the Spurs' 26-point lead to five with nearly three minutes remaining before San Antonio righted itself and held on for a 113-100 victory over Dallas on Friday night. Nowitzki scored 17 of his team-high 21 points in the fourth, while Steve Nash -- who missed the previous two games with stomach flu -- collected seven of his 12 assists in the period. Tony Parker scored 25 points and Hedo Turkoglu added 21 for the Spurs, who put together two big first-half runs to pile up a 59-33 lead at the break and 86-60 edge after three quarters. Rose added 18 points and 10 rebounds for San Antonio, which played its fourth straight game without top scorer and rebounder Tim Duncan. Duncan suffered a left knee joint injury when these teams last met Feb. 26 in Dallas. </div> Recap Looked at one stage as S.A might lose the game but they stayed tough and got the W. 3-1 without Duncan this week, better than I expected. Big game from Rasho 13 points 15 rebounds 5 assists 7 blocks=WOW Tony Parker with another huge game as well.
Props to Finley for finally taking that jerk Bruce Bowen out. He is a dirty player, no doubt about it. 1) Kicking Wally Sczceribak in the head 2) Constant grabbing of Kobe Bryant, to the point where he grabbed Kobe's jersey and tugged just to stop him 3) This Finley incident 4) Even Ray Allen says Bowen is a dirty defender, and that was reiderated by Vince Carter!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AllNet:</div><div class="quote_post">^ As a Laker fan I'm sure you would know about dirty players.</div> What does that have to do with being a Laker fan? Didn't Bowen knee Finley in the nuts as he was coming down the court? Shit, Finley should've grabbed him and tossed his ass into the Spurs bench for that.

http://www.mysanantonio.com/sports/stories...6.39e15f72.html The Legend Continues <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Finley, however, was bluntly insulting Bowen, a defender he said he formerly respected. "A coward guy made a coward play," Finley said. "He gave me a cheap shot from behind and I retaliated. "I thought I deserved a technical foul. I don't know about the ejection. The refs must have missed the first one because it was away from the play. I was just going back down the court and he came up behind me and leveled an elbow into my ribs. "I'm a man first and I went down and let him know it's not going to be like that." Naturally, Bowen saw things differently. In fact, Bowen said it was Finley who threw the first elbow. "We both elbowed one another," Bowen said, "and he bumped me back. Basically that's what happened. He hit me. I hit him back. That's the gist of it." </div> <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said he doesn't believe he will have to report the incident to the NBA office because he expects it will take action on its own after reviewing replays. "Everybody knows about Bowen," Cuban said. "Hopefully I won't have to turn it in to the league. That was obvious. They showed it on national television. They showed it in the arena. I shouldn't have to do anything." </div> <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Finley said he respected Bowen's reputation before Friday's incident because he didn't believe he resorted to dirty play. "That's not his reputation," Finley said. "His reputation is as a physical defender, and you have to give him his due on that. But when you have to start giving people cheap shots, that's not basketball, especially away from the play. "I'm a man before I'm a basketball player. He can't disrespect my manhood by giving me a cheap shot. I'm going to retaliate every time." </div> http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews...rts/8120077.htm <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"It was a dirty play," said Danny Fortson, who had a three-game suspension for knocking Phoenix's Zarko Cabarkapa to the floor earlier this season. But that doesn't make it right. Mike was our hot guy. And he (Bowen) was going to come in there and nail him." Said Finley: "Hopefully the league will see it. I might have been wrong about going back and elbowing him. But if they look at it, they'll know I had a reason </div>

You don't come into a game thread and post about how dirty Bowen is instead of focusing on the game. You also don't get around calling Bowen dirty when you have the dirtiest player of all-time on your team in Karl Malone. One could make a claim Shaq is dirty also. As for the play, Bowen knocked down Finley (lowed his shoulder, he didn't knee him in the nuts) but he didn't do it on purpose, Fin got frustrated and did a stupid move by knocking Bowen down right in front of the ref, wasn't a smart move. They were both as bad as each other, people moan about Bowen because he shuts them down and gets inside their head. Rodman was the same. Players need to deal with it and not get caught up in what Bowen does. Just play the damn game.

can we stop the whining? if you guys think bowen is dirty... fine. at least he gets the job done. i dont hear kobe or peja or anyone else crying about it. back to the topic... the spurs were awesome! except for the most part in the 4th but still was able gain back the momentum and didn't let dallas come back. did anyone see the crossover parker did against nash? its was sweet!
