Devin Harris will not start even if Nash leaves. There's always Marquies Daniels who the Mavs might start at the 1. The lineup will probably look like this. With Nash: PG-Nash SG-Finely SF-Dirk/Walker PF-Walker/Dirk C-Danny Forston Depeding on who the opponent at center is, Dirk might play the 5, while walker plays the 4, with Stack at the 3. Without Nash: PG-Danieis SG-Finely SF-Dirk/Walker PF-Walker/Dirk C- Forston. Same note as above. Devin Harris will not start. He might get to start 1/2 through the season though, if he does well. Im predicting Nash stays, so here are my stats 4 Devin: PPG: 6 - 8 APG: 5 RPG: 3 SPG: 1.5 TO: 2 - 3 Hopefully the Shaq trade wont go through, since we are losing 2 great players in Dirk and Nash (depending on who the mavs deal to the lakers) If you watched the Mavs last year, who stepped up when Dirk had his bad days? Walker? No. Finely? No. It was Nash. Plus, Nash can provide scoring when needed, or he can drop dimes if his scoring isnt needed. Dirk was playing with bad ankles the whole of the last season. If he gets a little R & R during the offseason, he will come back 100%. He provides scoring, rebounding, and he has improved his blocking skills. He improves every year. I mean, two years ago he couldnt play D at all. Last year he knew where to be for defence, and actually made some defensive plays. This year, who knows, maybe he will be able to do a better job and play D. Shaq has 3 - 4 years left, MAX. after that, his knees are gonna give and he's gonna be useless, and most likely retire. In the long run, this deal is bad for Dallas. Also, when you say that you're gonna have a bunch of Stars in Dallas, and adding Shaq will make us serious title contenders, i think about what happened last year. What happened to the Lakers? didnt they have 4 future hall of famers? so what happened in the finals? my point is proven Conclusion: - dont go through with the deal. - Devin Harris will not start - No Nash or Dirk = No title
I agree, but the Mavericks could still have a title chance with Shaq IF Dirk stayed. Shaq and Dirk could lead a team to a championship, but I don't think Dirk and Nash could. If Shaq came to the Mavericks, they could be looking at chmapionship possibilities, and very soon. While with their normal team, they probably aren't ready to compete for the title. Perhpas the Mavericks should look into some other new players. Carter maybe?
with dirk + shaq, theres a good chance for a title, but what happens 3 - 4 years from now? shaq will be yesterday's news. i'd hate to see nash and nowitzki get split up

They better start unloading some of the extra talent they stockpiled before it is too late, Cuban said he wont trade dirk and LA said they only want dirk, so this is a bad situation
