I really don't understand some of these guys who at the end of their careers, after earning 50+ mill, still go after the money, and have no interest in the championship.
At the end of the career it wouldn't matter. Like take Rasheed Wallace for example, you think it's better for him to go to a team that won't make the playoffs and be a starter there earning 7 or 8 mill in the next 2 years, or go to Spurs, Magic, Celtics and be part of the bench, first one up from the bench (6th guy) and earn around 3 to 5 mill a year and get another chance to win the title. (I know he already has one) Personally I rank the title higher than being a starter and earning little bit more when you're at the end of your career and are basically a millionaire for the rest of your life.
you can say it doesn't, but it absolutely does. it's sad when a star playing starts going from team to team at the end of their career hoping to latch on and ride some other players to a ring while they mostly watch from the bench.
on any team contending for a championship, he's going to spend a lot of time on the bench or they won't be competing for the championship.
