You can listen to it here: http://jimrome.com/2015/01/09/damian-lillard/ A lot of good stuff: Team has been finding ways to win even though the offense hasn't been as good as last season. Sees that as primarily due to improved defense. On the aftermath of the collision with Wade last night - his back hurts, but he won't miss any games. Importance of last second shot over Houston - Huge. The team had worked so hard to get there and was on verge of maybe losing after having a 3-1 lead. It had been 14 years since advancing past 1st round. Thinks Step Curry is the best PG in the game right now and looks to watch him when the Blazers aren't playing. Headband last night - Wore on in high school. Wes had dissed the idea earlier in the season, but he decided to wear it on national TV anyway. On shoe contract - It's a dream come true, especially considering where he came from, doubts about him as a player, and how soon he's earned the contract. Emphasized that he's earned it. 4-bar Friday - Talked about how popular it's been, some of the famous people who have participated and how you go about doing it if you want to participate.
Not sure how I feel about a headband, but it's another bit of personal style that lets you know exactly who he is out there. Might help with his identity in the league (strangely).
Well his performance last night would have me question if it helps him. But it could have been a fluke performance, so there's that...
Big fan of the headband look, and wish more players would bring it back. I thought Nate's old rule about no headbands was completely silly. All that said, I don't like it for Dame. He just doesn't look right in one, maybe it's the shape of his head or all the amount of gear he's wearing (sleeve, tights, etc). Would love for LA to rock one though. Great look, tbh
i always sport a head band, arm band, and blazers socks when i ball or attend a game, the more gear the better fan i am.
I kind of like headbands, but I think it's a bad idea for a pg since its like highlighting ones head when trying to slyly find who to dish to. I suppose it could be used to trick opponents about intentions, but that's getting super meta for a game like basketball.
When I was playing ball as a kid we called them "sweat bands" and the idea was to keep sweat out of you eyes. At some point they morphed into a fashion statement but I'll try and wear one and see if it helps me think straight. I think Bonzi Wells whenever I see guys wear them
