Went well with his "irrational belief" statement about Trendon.

Love the belief, but as great as Dame is, Portland needs more. Best way for Portland to contend, have Sharpe make a jump as soon as possible. I don't think it will be this year, but I have been really pleased with how Sharpe advanced this year so far. It did not come from where I thought it would.

I believed he will be more aggressive offensively, work on his handle and I still think working on his handle is the missing ingredient for him, but he really impressed me with his progress on defense and the foot-work in the post / turn around shots.

Sharpe has all the tools in the world to be super special.

I believe it's destiny and we need to keep him to see it happen HERE.

Chauncey's best attribute as a coach is young player development IMO. I've been pleasantly surprised by the development of Shaedon, Drew, Trendon and Jabari over the course of the season. They have gotten meaningfully better as players and it shows.

That's a skillset best suited for an assistant or player development coach....but whatever.

To be fair, though, we don't know if it's Chauncey or his assistants being primarily responsible for that successful "youth" development.
