I am so sorry the players still have guaranteed salaries. I'd flat out fire at least 4 of those damn quitters right now. For what they make and how much hard working people have to pay to watch them just quit. Get rid of them all. every stinking last one of them, for all I care. The Portland Trailquitters.
Fans need to stand up and demand that this team be re-tooled, everyone from management to the ball boys (well, not really) needs to be re-evaluated... Can't say I've ever been so apathetic about this team. They show no heart, no emotion, and everyone seems to just go through the motions. Felton, you're my least favorite Blazer of all time and you should have been gone before you ever arrived. Kenneth Faried would have been a nice fit... and guess what? 90% of this board already knew that. Way to make the big bucks, guys.
Some of these guys still care ... it may be buried deep, deep, deep ... deep, deeeeeeeeeep down right now, but I think whatever it is that's in this toxic brew of failed chemistry has infected the whole team now. The trick is deciding which guys can be salvaged.
They're not eve trying or playing hard. These clowns are millionaires and I've never in my life seen such lazy ass play- well, except for HCP's wife, but hey, that's another post entirely.
My wife, who doesn't know the difference between a basketball or a football was watching a part of the game and even SHE noted they "didn't seem to be playing very hard. She thinks we should all find another team to follow.
I'm not following the team until they change the management. Players trying? Yeah, it sucks. they gave up. but you trade a guy like Crawford who will keep on playing, so fuck them.
I think a strong case could be made that they deliberately have not fulfilled their end of the agreement, and are not entitled to their pay.
You conserve energy when you're 30 down, the game is hopeless, you've played 9 games in the last 14 days, and you will play 19 games in the next 32 days. Even McMillan finally realized the grueling schedule and began putting Babbitt into the 4th quarter.
