Damon "Mr.Basketball' Jones This thread is dedicated to how quickly DJ has made us forget about a little guy we knew as Rafer "Skip to my Lou" Alston who played backup PG and starting PG for sometime for the Heat last year. Rafer was a great player for us, and had that sweet game winner vs Dallas on national t.v. But he choked in the playoffs which hurt. He always gave us that spark off the bench and could shoot the 3 the best on our team... enter 'Mr. Basketball'.... Using (part of or all of??? our MLE) we inked Damon Jones to the Heat... now I knew he was a good player last year for the Bucks, but I dind't think his impact on our squad would be this big. He started the year off for us as our 6 man off the bench, but has no eased his way into our starting line. And with him in our starting we line, we are damn near unstoppable. This cat can really shoot the 3, as we saw today shooting 4-8 and getting the game winning 3 over Sacramento. Although his defense isn't the best, he's really a welcome fit to our team and how we play. He brings us together, and he's made me; (not sure about you guys) forget about Rafer Alston. IMHO, he's doing just as good, (or even better) than Mr. 6th man himself Rafer Alston... Just my 2 cents boys. Have a good one...
