<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> The Warriors' Erick Dampier had his 15 games of fame early in the season. Lately, he has looked like just another center in the crowd.

With his minutes and production down and his foul trouble and mistakes in the post up, Dampier acknowledged that he has been "upset'' over his December decline, the same kind of slide he experienced after a stellar start last season.

The eight-year veteran insisted he can regain the All-Star form that had the national media lining up for stories and prompted coach Eric Musselman to say Dampier was playing better than any center except Shaquille O'Neal.

Before Dampier opposes the Lakers' O'Neal on Tuesday at the Arena in Oakland, the Warriors have unfinished business on the road. They complete a four-game trip today against an undersized Heat team that Dampier burned for 16 points and 11 rebounds Nov. 21 in what was the sixth of his eight consecutive double-doubles.

Asked Wednesday in Atlanta what has upset him, Dampier said, "(Playing) time, just trying to get involved in stuff'' and sitting for long stretches after picking up two early fouls, a move Musselman generally makes with his starters to protect them for the second half. </div>

This may be the best time to trade Damp. I'm not giving up on him but his value is the highest its ever been. Hopefully he can get out of his recent "dive".

he shouldn't get into foul trouble when the warriors lack help at center.
