Here's a story I read today. Damiper Considers Options If the Magic can somehow snatch Okafor AND Dampier we'd be serious contenders in the East. Obviously, we'd have to get rid of Howard's contract which is gonna be tough since we got rid of Giricek already. Imagine this: C-Dampier PF-Okafor SF-Hill SG-T-Mac PG-Lue or Snow? I'm praying this happens. This would certainly keep T-Mac happy. The only thing I don't like about this is that besides T-Mac, not many jumpshooters on this team. I wouldn't mind sliding Hill to PG and putting Garrity at SF. Yea, I'm a dreamer.
hmm I don't know , C - Dampier/Hunter/Zaza PF - Okafor/ Gooden SF - Grant Hill/Stevenson/Bogans/Garrity SG - T-Mac/Stevenson/Bogans PG - T-Lue/Arroyo/Gaines Stevenson will have to be re-sign if i'm not wrong and he has played those 3 positions, we could sign Arroyo ( looks more realistic than Snow) . We will have to deal with Howard , DeClerq , Strickland is gone , Rooks is also gone. I like that , what do you guys think?
Yeah, it's good. I think that we could possibly start Stevenson at the point and bring Lue off the bench, which is what I think we should do. I don't think we have any shot at all to get Dampier. After this great year, he will be asking for a lot of money. We likely won't offer him a lot of money.
Yeah that's what I was thinking too , I don't think Stevenson is a great PG tho , I think T-Mac or Hill could play it better than him , DeShawn is a pure SG but that's T-Mac so he is the perfect SF
Tmac brings the ball up practically everytime anyway, so Stevenson will have help and won't have to completely handle all the PG duties. He would just mainly guard the PG. Hill would also help. I would just love to have a pg/sg/sf combo of Stevenson, Tmac and Hill. That'd be pretty good.
Yeah and we all know they can play all of those positions , I just think Stevenson's defense will be more useful as a SG or SF.
Well, then Tmac or Hill will guard the PG. I just like the versatility of defense of those 3 in the lineup. They can switch defensive matchups depending on the matchups.

Lue can't guard the bigger PG's though. He only got his reputation for stopping AI in the finals a couple of years ago. I wouldn't consider him that good of a defender. Stevenson is better, IMO. Since we're talking about defensive lineups, this would be good, IMO. Hunter Okafor Hill/Bogans Tmac Stevenson Depending on Hill's shape it could be him or Bogans at SF.

What if the Magic do a sign and trade for Erick Dampier . Juwan Howard for Erick Dampier and then sign Dampier to a 4 year 30-35 million contract. But the trade thats really big would be if the Magic could draft Okafur and trade Gooden . The Bulls are dangling Jamal Crawford and the Magic might wanna offer Drew Gooden for JC . I know a lot of you dont like this trade but JC is a big PG , 6'5. and he can play. The magic should also look at a SF. Two decent SF's that are FA are Darius Miles and Hedo Turkoglu. The Magic will havea starting slary of 5 million to offer either. I really dont think G. Hill will play again , thats y they need a SF. Dampier would be a good edition to almost every east team.He would be very good for the Magic.I was thinkin I would like to see him Philly but I changed my mine when I remember Dalembart.But remember what he said in the article he wants to be on a winning team,so if the Magic tried to sign him do you think he would want to?
Dampier would want to sign to a team where he can win and get a lot of PT. If the Magic can pull of a miracle he may wind up in Orlando

well who knows...they tell you we got top 3 draft pick , hill back , and T-Mac , Orlando..Florida.. He'll probably end up at Indiana tho I just got that feeling.
I dont like the fact that Gooden would be playing on the bench.. If we get Dampier, then I would want to draft Dwight Howard... Think about the amount of shotting we have and will have if we get him.. We can have that big man, howard would be gone.. Drew would start.. I am sure we can find a Point Gurd Somehow... Plus Howard and of course bogans who we have would be enough insurance for us incase Hill Falls out.. Not to mention Stevenson..
That would be a very competitive lineup in the East, but that's too many IF's. Wait till the off-season before you guys get too excited. What is so convincing about coming to Orlando, with T-Mac?
