If Monday had been an ordinary first day of fall practice, Northwestern Wildcats senior quarterback Dan Persa knows he would have been nervous heading into it. But because Persa missed last season's final three games, sat out spring ball and hadn't participated in a true team practice since early November due to a ruptured Achilles tendon, Monday's opening practice had different a feeling for him. "It's funny, because obviously I haven't practiced in awhile, but I'm at such a comfort stage," Persa said. "Before, I would have been nervous for a practice.
