Kid Yamamoto, Fedor, Gomi, etc.. It's just the way he does business.
I find a lot of stuff that comes out of his mouth very juvenile but there's no denying the great things he and the UFC have done.
This is a business decision plain and simple. By generating their own ranking system they take some of the hype away from fighters who are fighting elsewhere. The Ufc doesn't care if people disagree with their own rankings....it gets people talking about their fighters. That is EXACTLY what they want. People aren't discussing if fedor should still be at the top if he isn't fighting top notch competition. They will be discussing who is in line after Big Tim. Does Jardine/Griffin deserve to be at the top of the rankings? etc etc. Names like filho, fedor and gomi will no longer be involved in this discussion. I can't believe they still haven't done this. It's stupid not to.
