The Chicago Blackhawks signed forward Daniel Carcillo to a one-year contract on Saturday. Carcillo, 29, will be paid $550,000 this season and is on a one-way contract, a source told ESPN's Pierre LeBrun. Carcillo joined the Blackhawks on a professional tryout contract Friday and played in their final preseason game Friday night.
