    VITALS: 6-3, 185, Duke

OVERVIEW: Ewing finished his Duke career ninth in 3-point shooting (.392), seventh in 3-pointers (217) and 22nd in points (1,595). The guard played well in the post-season, earning Atlantic Conference tournament MVP as a sophomore, making the all-tournament first team as a junior and averaging 17.3 points in three NCAA Tournament games this season. Ewing led the conference in 3-point percentage (.411) as a junior.

LIKELY DRAFT POSITION: Late second round.

    COMPARATIVE UPSIDE: Juan Dixon

    COMPARATIVE DOWNSIDE: Milt Palacio

    ROLE PROJECTION: Backup point guard.

POSITIVES: Ewing has played big in some big games for Duke over his four years. He has made some very big perimeter shots that have lifted Duke to victory. He has spent time at both guard spots and is comfortable being a designated defensive stopper. He is a mentally tough player who is accustomed to playing under pressure.

SHORTCOMINGS: Ewing's perimeter shot was not as consistent his senior year as it had been in his three previous years. There was less consistency to his overall game as a senior, with him delivering some outstanding games but also some shaky ones. If Ewing can relocate his perimeter shot and his consistent performance, he should be able to carve out an NBA career.
