He talks like this because he doesn't have shaq. Has he made a trade that impacted his team like this? Mind you, we are still in the offseason and Miami is a very happy city now.

he's right one person doesn't change a team. but it with a couple good trades to follow, it does certainly change them around. and everybody thinks detroit is unstoppable cuz they swept the lakers, I think they're a great team but it doesn't mean they can't be stopped, and if they do make it to the finals again they will face a tougher challenge than they did with the lakers. Still a great team tho.

Why is Ainge even commenting on this? He doesn't have a right to criticize Riley when the best move he has made was trading away Antoine Walker.

'It doesn't guarantee them anything' is a stupid comment to make. As if this guy can see into the future and predict who will win every championship for every sport. Not even the Detroit Pistons are guaranteed next year's championship. There is a saying, "Any given sunday", meaning anything can happen, like the Clippers winning the championship next year, anything is possible and nothing is guaranteed. This guy just wanted to make headlines the only way he knew how, and that is bad mouthing another team who made headlines this offseason, unlike his team.

No Miami fan is saying that we are going to win the championship, it's just what all the people want us to say so they can throw comments like this in our face. What Miami fans feel and are saying is that they have a great shot at the title, as well as the Rockets, the Wolves, the Pistons, the Spurs, the Nuggets, the Pacers, etc. We are now one of those teams, is all.

I believe the Heat are the 2nd best team in the East next to Detroit. Next year(in 2005-2006) though I believe they'll be the best in the East. Ainge has no right to critizize any team though as he does a shit job so I think he should just stfu. Even though he is true. about the Pistons being better now. The Heat can still fight the Pistons good though. Shaq and Wade work better against the Pistons than Kobe and Shaq do. Kobe doesnt pass, Wade does. THeres a difference. They will get to the Conference FInals and thats my prediction.

it doesnt guarantee them a championship, but it certainly guarantees them a shot at it. shaq will be playing with something to prove next season. he'll be just as unstopable as ever.

another thing is guaranteed...the heat will finnish WAY better then the celts

For you guys saying that Wade and Shaq would do better against Detroit than Kobe and Shaq did, what are you talking about? How would you even know this in the first place, if these two guys haven't played a single game together yet?

Point is, yeah...I think you guys have a shot at the East finals, but not that big of a shot. You may get there, but who in the world is going to stop Billups, Wallace, Wallace, Rip and Tay...now with McDyess? Haha...there's no chance Wade and Shaq can do it...and Jones won't even be a problem for Tayshaun and/or Rip.

How many years did it take for Kobe/Shaq to work? It took three...and it took Phil Jackson also. Wade DOES want to be a part of this team...no matter what everyone else says...and when reality hits, he'll find that Miami is Shaq's city now, and nobody else's. Even the friendly Dwyane will fill with jealousy as Shaq tries to take over the organization...and I don't even wanna mention what Eddie Jones will think.

Sure, the Lakers are going to have to pull off a miracle next season...unless they get Kidd. Here's some math...

    Kobe + Kidd + Odom + a possible Malone > Shaq + Wade + Jones

    Simple as that.

Kidd?? Since when kidd is a Laker? Include Kidd in lakers roster when he IS a laker. So you saying Kobe+maybe Kidd + Odom + malone would be better in the wild wild west? I know u are rooting for lakers and i respect that but your team doesn't look that strong either....especially in west.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting realdealbneal:</div><div class="quote_post">Even the friendly Dwyane will fill with jealousy as Shaq tries to take over the organization...</div>You're thinking of Kobe. Wade appreciates any help he can get after having to carry the Heat last year. Kobe Bryant is spoiled because he was born into the Lakers with Shaq so he took him for granted, Wade won't.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting realdealbneal:</div><div class="quote_post">Kobe + Kidd + Odom + a possible Malone > Shaq + Wade + Jones</div>That's a big 'if', you are comparing Miami's for-sure lineup against a best case scenario laker line up that doesn't exist yet.

One thing I'm looking forward to the Lakers is great shooting from Kobe, hopefully we will inspire others to bring back the forgotten art.

Born into the Lakers with Shaq? Check this out...

Kobe was drafted in 1996...and his rights were traded from the Charlotte Hornets to the Los Angeles Lakers for Vlade Divac on July 11th, 1996.

Shaq signed as a free agent to the Lakers on July 18th, 1996.

Who was there first? KOBE. [IMG]
