The Dakota Wizards took down the NBDL title on Sunday night and Darius Rice poured in 52 points to go along with 7 rebounds. He also had a 32 point game in the quarterfinals. This kid can really light it up when he gets on. I remember he was a high schooler that could have gone pro but decided to go to UMiami instead. He is a talented scorer and I think he may have a chance to be a role player one day in the NBA. Anyone else have any input on D-Rice?

I liked Rice in college, actually. I remember that he was with the Nets in preseason a couple years ago, and I'm pretty sure he went somewhere else for a short time (can't remember who, though). The kid can score, he's athletic, and he can run the floor. I think he definitely might catch on with a team eventually, he has talent.

I remembered watching him play in UM, he was a nice player and I always thought he could be a decent player in the NBA. He hasn't turned into that yet but scoring 52 in the championship is a step in the right direction. This will probably get him some points with some NBA teams needing a decent young scorer off the bench
