With a hook shot in the last minute of the game. That will make him feel better after the nightmare against the Cavs. However the Pistons were a joke.Sonics got the win in Detroit on national T.V 93-72 http://www.nba.com/games/20031212/SEADET/boxscore.html I must say the Sonics players double teaming Darko when they are up 20 in the final minute is not very nice. That was a very classless thing to do. Rashard Lewis was in great form. With 33 points on 13-26 with 7 rebounds.Ben Wallace led the Pistons with 14 points 11 rebounds.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting OnlineX:</div><div class="quote_post">Agianst the caves he could of had a easy Dunk but he got STUFFED by the rim! LOL</div> Haha, yep he got hung by the rim. It's about time he scores, let's not talk about what the Pistons COULD have had.
Well, We shouldn't be picking on Darko! We should be picking on the whole Team! That is one of the worst outings that team has ever had!
Maybe not, looks like Walker just put the nail in the coffen. Now I realize how great a player Payton is, our offense wasn't flowing like it does with GP in the lineup, and weren't getting much transition baskets, on the other hand, Lakers played solid defense, but I give credit to the Mavs for shooting well. LA was playing more in sperts like the announcer said, didn't overall play a good game. You know Mavs are supposed to win when Josh Howard out plays Kobe Bryant. . And no, I don't want to hear people come in and act like the Lakers run is over, because I have seen that before, just because they lossed one game at home. Shaq obviously didn't get enough touches, going 6-6, and fouled a bunch of times, but this is a type a game where he could have easily dropped 40, and since Kobe wasn't shooting well, Lakers should have noticed this and just fed Shaq the ball. And is it me, or was did anyone else not notice Devean George on the court a whole lot. Rush and Russell shot well in limited time, played bad today, and the Mavs played good, simply the reason why the Lakers lost, the streak had to end sometime.
lol yea I seen that... yea I agree with what they COULD have had (carmelo)... I don't see why they would get Darko, maybe in a few years he might prove me wrong but I think Carmelo has more talent than Darko. Tho I haven't seen Darko play much, he isn't used to US bball.
Hahahahaha! I saw him get stuffed by the rim. Lol, it was funny. Yippee! for Darko. Now he only has to wait another 20 games for his next basket. (I gotta pick on Darko while he still sucks, cuz in a couple years when he's semi-Pau Gasol-ing it there'll be no fun.) The other day I added up all his stats, and realized something: they could have been put up by a bad sub coming off the bench in garbage time, except that Darko would have fouled out of the game before he scored a single point. Just thought it was kinda funny...
Seems Darko isn't terribly gifted offensively...that's bad news for the Pistons. They need a guy who'll score a lot of points consistently in big games for them, because if they had someone like that they'd be nearly unstoppable. The Pistons pride themselves on working hard, "Going to Work" every night. Well, I don't know if they forgot about working Friday night against Seattle...? But they need a player to put up offensive numbers consistently. I want them to trade for Paul Pierce. I know, I know, it'll never happen. I can dream, can't I?
Darko is actually quite gifted offensively. In fact his ability to score exceeds his defensive capabilities by some. However the word out of Detroit is that Darko is struggling 'with his diet' and 'staying well hydrated'. For those of you who havent' done much international traveling this means that because of the significant change in the type of food he's eating (and more importantly the different types of chemicals and bacteria found in our drinking water) he is suffering from either frequent vomitting or diarrehea. So in other words feel sorry for Darko because he doesn't feel good, Sportscenter is ragging on him and he sure as sure as heck don't feel to pretty right now. So send him a get-well soon card and hopefully he'll adjust to the food and water soon so we can see what he can do. Since he's been getting a few minutes of late, hopefully he's doing better already Edit: This was in the Detroit Free Press a little while back. I couldn't find the article online so no link, sorry!
You guys...the pistons are bringing him along slowly...he only just turned 18, and he is from overseas...he is going to be a force in this league once his career is over..so he got stuffed by the rim...how many times has that happened to players...quite frequently...ease up of him...atleast he made it pro...where you guys going to be in 5-10 years? P.S. Rocko and Allnet this doesnt include you guys...
VAs Finest - No one ever said that Darko wouldn't be good in several years, so there's no need to get upset. I think the criticism is based on the here and now.
I feel awful for Darko. He never plays and he was the #2 pick. I bet you if Rick was still in Detroit, Darko would be playing.
