But all indications from the team are that Milicic likely will start playing about 10 minutes a game ? and not at the end of games that have been decided, either. Instead, he?ll probably come in during the second quarter. Fans got a sneak preview of it last Wednesday night against the Sacramento Kings. Milicic played six minutes and had a basket, a steal and a turnover.</div>
Wow, this truly is great news. Thanks for sharing. I really hope this works out well and that he will play well for what time he gets and puts in. I see him becoming like Kirilenko in a way, but without the awesome defense, simply size, speed and great offense. Glad to see Dumars and Brown finally making a move to improve and use him. That language barrier thing certainly is a hassle though. Oh well, it can always be conquered, if Yao and Nene can do it, Darko sure as hell can. Good luck to him in the future, thanks for sharing such great news iamme. Kudos and props to you.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Crossover:</div><div class="quote_post">If he's going to stay and be the future of Detroit, he's going to learn to play defense.</div> Absolutely. And don't forget, being left-handed is a huge boon to a shot-blocker. Since most shooters are righties, you're already blocking with the hand on the same side as the ball. The best shot-blockers can use either whenever necessary. I think Darko could be a decent defender, given time. But as has been pointed out in several threads, they drafted him for his offensive potential.
Finally! Yes, he will now be mentioned in keys to the game for every home game under a mini-category of "Get the crowd excited"! I think Darko has a lot of potential for defense. He has nice quickness and has shown that he can jump quickly to block shots. He also has a huge wingspan, not to mention being able to learn from a Defensive MVP every practice and game. He'll be fine on defense and offense. This is great though, we'll finally get to see some improvement and the talent that the Pistons drafted.
Darko definitely gets the crowd excited. I was at the last Kings game and the crowd was buzzing the entire time he was in. I completely forgot about the score and just watched Darko the entire time Initially, it was pure shock value. If Darko can play his 10 minutes a game and produce, it should be exciting.
This is good news for him, definitely. He needs to get into games if he's ever going to learn. I'm just excited that I get to watch him play. However, it might send him the wrong message. He wanted playing time, so he went and cried to the media and all of the sudden he's playing more. What'll he do next time he doesn't like something? He'll go to the media again. It'll be just like Sergei Fedorov and the Red Wings, and look how they ended up. Still, I'm glad he'll get some experience out on the court, and this will definitely benefit him in the long run.
I just love the size Detroit has, and I'm glad to see they're finally using another big in Darko. I've been really anxious to see what he can do, because obviously I haven't gotten to see much of him. I want to see what Dumars saw in him to pick him over Carmelo!!!
I don't think it'll go to his head. After his cry, Joe Dumars said that he won't get more playing time but that he isn't mad that Darko talked to the media and that he discussed it with him. What happened after? Larry Brown put him in against the Kings. Now, he didn't look all that bad. Maybe, they decided that he is good enough to play for 10 minutes and not screw the game up for the Pistons. I still don't see a real problem with him going to the media that time, I mean Larry, Joe, and Darko were asked that question by the media every day. Darko kept silent, except for one time where he said he wanted to play. No big deal.

10 minutes a game for Darko will be good to see, with Rebraca being suspended for one game, Darko should now have his chance straight away.
This clearly means that Darko is getting better. We know that Larry would not agree to play Darko unless he knew that he was getting better or unless Joe was really pressuring him. It can't be the second because Dumars has said that Darko won't play either. Let's hope Darko gets a lot of minutes tomorrow!
with acquiring Rasheed, it seems the Pistons are going to make a push for the Finals. that said, i think Darko may want to invest in comfortable seat on the bench.
Dumars said he expects Darko to replace some of the minutes Rebraca got. So It's possible he might get some decent minutes through the 2nd half of the season.

who's darko miliwhat? oh wait wasn't he like a guy the pistons picked up over the offseason? oh wait a minute wasnt he drafted like in the second round..let me correct myself again second pick...hmmm...what's his name again?
That is pretty funny coming rom a Bulls fan. How is your team doing? Are they contending for the finals? How about for the #1 seed? Leave Darko alone! Also, Darko should be able to get more minutes now that Zelly is gone. He hardly played, but Darko should still be able to find around 8 minutes a game. If Rasheed and Mike James don't play tomorrow, the bench will be spread thin and Brown will have pretty much no choice other than to play Darko.

"leave darko alone", is your baby boy sad ? anyways i was just kidding about that darko comment man, don't take everything so personally... last time i checked around the year 1998, the bulls were competing for the number one seed and ready for another championship, thanks for asking, and in 2005 or 2006 they'll be there again
