Carr a Panther<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Quarterback David Carr, the first overall pick in the 2002 draft, agreed to terms on a two-year contract with the Carolina Panthers early Friday morning, according to a league source.Carr, 27, made the decision after returning from a two-day visit with the Seattle Seahawks and meeting with his wife at their California home late Thursday night. Carr had visited with the Panthers Monday and Tuesday. The financial terms of the deal weren?t immediately available. The Panthers obviously don?t view Carr as the typical backup. Coach John Fox has said several times that Jake Delhomme, who struggled at times last season, remains the starter. But Carr, who has made 75 career starts, could provide a viable alternative if Delhomme struggles again.</div>
Ehh, Probably not the best move for Carr in terms of getting a chance to play unless Delhomme is on a shorter leash for next season then we expect him to be. Either way, If he does get his chance, he could do real well in that offense as he'd have Good Recievers and a Good Line.
If all those hits in Houston didnt effect his body too much, he can be their QB for the next 5-7 years.
I think this is a good move for both Carolina and Carr. Delhomme struggled last season and his age might be affecting his play. Carr is mobile and has a good arm to throw to Smith and Johnson so I can see Carr starting within the next two years.
I think we will see Carr end up starting by the end of the season, I think Delhomme is done, no more gas in his tank.
I think he'll have a great chance to start before the season is over. If he plays I expect him to do great.
I guess if I was deciding between the Seahawks and Panthers, in terms of winning I'd go to Seattle, but in terms of getting a chance to play I'd go to Carolina. Hmm...it said that Fox dubbed Delhomme the unchallenge starter in the article...meh
