Thank God that we are thinking about giving this guy a contract extention. he quickly became one of my favorite Pats last season and whats not to like. A seventh rounder out of Notre Damn who plays his butt off every snap. This guy took over for Troy Brown as the number one receiver about week 5 and flourished. He also was a real good endzone(since I can't use ####) threat and besides Troy he was the best clutch receiver on the team. I hope they can work something out to keep this guy around for a while cus he is young and really has a bright future in the NFL.
Speaking of Patriot WRs getting contract extensions. The Pats just inked Troy Brown to an extension into the 2005 season. http://www.patriots.com/news/fullarticle.s...91&type=general Sorry I've been away for so long boys. Just been dealing with a lot of personal issuses of late. As much as I live & breath football I needed a break. I followed the draft very closely & I was thrilled with the Wilfork selection. That was easily the best value on the board & prior to the selection I was chanting WILFORK in the middle of dinner at the 99 restaurant. lol WR was my 1st option before seeing them all go like flys. And with the depth at that position I think we nabbed a possible sleeper in PK Sam, WR from FSU.
I couldn't agree more. Sam came out early and easily could have been a second round pick next season. As for wilfork I was pumped he slipped to us. I didn't think we had a prayer in getting him. I'm glad troy got another year as a patriot. Hopefully they keep him till he retires.
