Tampa Bay Rays pitcher David Price was fined an undisclosed amount by Major League Baseball in the aftermath of hitting Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz with a pitch last Friday, according to a baseball source. Red Sox pitcher Brandon Workman was fined and suspended for six games for throwing behind Rays slugger Evan Longoria five innings after Ortiz was hit. Workman, who pitched Wednesday night in Cleveland and did not factor in the decision, is appealing his suspension.
