<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Baron Davis' agent, Todd Ramasar, said he's had initial discussions with vice president Chris Mullin regarding a contract extension for the point guard. Davis is signed for another two years at a total of $37.8 million, but can opt out after next season. "It's in a good place," said Ramasar, who declined to go into specifics. Davis is in France attending the wedding extravaganza of Spurs guard Tony Parker and actress Eva Longoria, and is expected to return to his offseason home in Las Vegas next week. ... The Warriors expect to sign Belinelli once his buyout from his Italian league team is finalized. </div>

I'm hoping Baron Davis' contract negotiations don't have him taking up so much of the team salary cap that we can't put anyone good around him. That's why I think max paid players like KG are kind of whiners at times because he makes the most money in the league. Why can't there be guys that demand less money so they can actually put better talent around them? They make so much money it's absurd and lot of those guys don't even deserve it if they're going to whine and ask to be traded. *cough* *cough* Baron Davis.

Of course that's not all these "franchise" players' fault... teams like the T-wolves draft picks and make trades that have been very subpar IMO. They kept going for guys that were projected to be nba ready but they weren't all that great of an upside or immediate impact. Corey Brewer over Brandan Wright? We'll see how that turns out in the short and long terms. Randy Foye over Brandon Roy, Rudy Gay? Rashaad McCants over Gerald Green and Danny Granger?

    Then there was this http://www.nba.com/news/smith_wolves_001025.html

Frankly, I think sometimes KG has a right to complain considering he's a perennial MVP candidate, and the management over there didn't know how to build around him.
