Age has caught up to Brian, which is sad. He's no longer the player he was, but regardless, he's still the heart and soul of the defense. Brian Dawkins is my favorite Eagle, and probably my favorite NFL player of all-time. With that being said though, he's still more than above average at his position. He struggled last year, but has looked all right so far this season. Boy if I could, I'd wish this man will play football forever with the Eagles. It'll be said the day he retires. I hope he won't end up like Jeremiah Trotter in a couple of years. :(

Dawkins has been a great player for so long...

The last couple of years his play hasn't been the same as the Dawkins that I remember roaming the backfield in the early 2000s. He's still an intimidating presence for WRs when they cross the middle; but his coverage skills have declined with age.
