    DC United have threatened to sue Arsenal if any of their officials approach their Honduran starlet Andy Najar.

    United’s Present Payne reacted furiously to the news;

    “They can talk to him if they would like to get sued. But I don’t think it will come to that. We have no intention to have Andy Najar come to Arsenal for a trial. He’s under contract and if anybody tries to talk to him, we are prepared to file a lawsuit. This is America. It’s American contract law that applies here. Local law prevails.”

    Najar's coach and agent previously said that trial will happen... Interesting.

    stupid twat. keep your player, he's probably trying to get some clubs to show interest in this player to sell for a ridiculous fee.

    Would it be appropriate for me to direct you all to your comments on the Fabregas situation? DC United are trying to keep their player. He's not a top guy for them yet, but he could be as early as next season when he gets used to being a professional.

    No, it wouldn't. You're comparing a worldclass player to a kid who isn't even DC United's main star. I have no problems with DC United denying a trial to Emirates, but Payne's attitude is just disturbing. He could of said this without sounding like a self-righteous prick.

    Presumably Najar and his agent don't understand that being under contract with a club prevents try-outs for other teams.

    You can criticize Arsenal for inviting him but there is a big difference between desperately tapping-up, bidding, and trying to lure a player (a-la Barcelona) and inviting someone over for a workout.

    Please do, there's no similarity to what Barcelona is doing to get Cesc. The Arsenal Organization have not made it public or arsenal player. This is just a media rumor.
