Does anybody else watch this show? I considered it the best thing on TV this year, but, after this week's Prison Break, it's about tied. Still is amazing, despite the heavy use of the word c**ksucker (apparently they did a lot research into the vocab of that time). I saw a couple episodes on the History Channel (HBO in the US, I think) and it caught my interest. Been d-loading past ones to catch up since. Swearengen is the craziest character.

I couldn't get into this show, and I love great tv.

The Wire, Rescue Me, The Shield, Band of Brothers, 24, etc.. I just can't get into this.

Although, I think Prison Break is absolute ****.

I enjoy the Deadwood series. I don't have cable, but I've seen the first season a few times, and the second season once. I like the characters that are mainstays and others who come and go. The lawlessness of Deadwood is one reason I enjoy watching it.

I love the progression, though. And the writer's really did their homework with it. Season 1 had the town as an absolute hell hole. The second one's been a little bit more complex with the basis for a real community starting up and there's a lot of power struggle. I recommend it to anybody who won't get turned off by the coarse language. It's a shame they didn't pick it up for a 4th season.

Glad someone else here watches The Shield, its such an awesome show, my favourite show of all time.

As for Deadwood, I havent caught an episode of it yet, probally due to it not being shown down here, lol, but I will have to download an episode of it to see what all the hype it about. If I like it, i'll go and buy the box set, as I've seen it in local DVD stores.

I know you cant really compare the 2, but I hear Deadwood is alot more 'hardcore' than Oz. Anyone care to give me a quick run down of what the actual show is about? From what I understand, its set in the old Western days, but thats all I know about the show.
