here's something interesting from the Charlotte Observer:

    http://blogs.charlotte.com/inside_the_nba/...ts-have-ey.html

    Bobcats have eye on Hibbert

    Some things I hear:

-- Don’t be surprised if the Charlotte Bobcats acquire an extra first-round pick and use it to draft Georgetown center Roy Hibbert. A source with another NBA team hears the Bobcats have checked around for a pick in the late teens or early 20s. That same source hears Hibbert might be the Bobcats’ target if they make such a deal (not that it’s a given Hibbert would still be around then).

Hibbert is somewhat limited as an athlete, but he knows the game. That sort of basketball sophistication, combined with his being a legit 7-footer, would appeal to new Bobcats coach Larry Brown.

The Bobcats’ needs entering this draft are another point guard and another big man. So if they choose a point guard with the ninth pick (Russell Westbrook or D.J. Augustin?), acquiring a pick to add a big guy makes great sense.

Well then, who could we get from Charlotte that would be helpful to us?

Would Matt Carroll do any good for us?

maybe as part of a package for Wallace, Okafor, or Richardson...

RJ, Marcus, Diop, Swift, 21 for Wallace+Okafor? I think they might go for it, maybe even without Marcus.

    Harris/?
    Carter/?
    Wallace/Gallinari
    Okafor/SWat
    Boone/Krstic

if we could find a combo guard for the MLE, we'd be looking pretty good.

God I hope not. Not unless it brings us Okafor, which I highly doubt.

If we give them that pick then they will take Westbrook with #9 if he is there. Without an additional pick then they may take a big at #9. They may take Westbrook anyway, but why give a pick that will influence the pick right in front of ours?

What about the Wolves' #31 " for #21? I'm almost certain they are going to do something like that, as they (they being the Wolves) have worked out players like Nicholas Batum, DeAndre Jordan, and JaVale McGee.

Great so Lopez can fall to us

Anyway, we dont have to make the deal to were on the clock and we can make the pick for them.(Which would scare the shit out of me btw "New Jersey Nets select....Roy Hibbert!" omg [IMG]

I dont know if the Bobcats have the right assets to make a deal w/ us.

Only way I deal with Charlotte is for Emeka and I'd give anything outside of Devin Harris.
