They looked to be running with the Central, they get Miller, then get crushed three straight by the lowly Twinkies. Rangers pick up Beltran and Lucroy then get their asses kicked by Baltimore. Dodgers make deals, then get their asses crushed by the Rockies then find out Kershaw is gone for the year.

The beauty of the baseball season.
One team has a bad week while the other team has a good week.
Teams can lose or gain 4-5 games in a week's time.

Kershaw last pitched on Sun. June 26 th, was placed on the 15 day DL on the 30th of June; given an epidural, (which didn't solve anything), put on the 15 day DL a 2nd time; followed by work outs, another epdiural, and the 2nd 15 day DL stint, followed by this last 60 day DL stint, as of yesterday.

I really don't think CK's going to make it back this year; as he goes, so go the Bums. The 'slipped disc' is the same problem he had immediately after the Aussie Game of 3-22-014; which set him back then on the DL for 5 weeks, (didn't pitch his 2nd game 'til May 6th 014.....

CK is toast, so are the Bums.... Could CK be looking at an discectomy, if so, kiss his Koufaxian (non-PS- numbers goodbye)... CK can never really be fairly compared to Koufax until he too wins a couple/few W.Serious'es...

The Dodgers moved Clayton Kershaw to the 60-day D.L. yesterday, clearing a 40-man roster spot and making it clear that they don't expect the ace left hander to come back anytime soon. The move makes it so that August 27 is the earliest day he could come back, but he has yet to begin a throwing program, so even that is likely optimistic. Kershaw has been sidelined since late June with a herniated disc in his back. Bums- hold their breath that he won't need season-ending surgery. He had a ridiculous 11-2 record with a 1.79 ERA before hitting the D.L.
