ORLANDO -- John Weisbrod knew turning around the Orlando Magic would be a difficult task, but never did he count on having to deal with the external issues that have arisen of late. Weisbrod, the Magic's general manager since March, has twice received written death threats at his home in suburban Orlando and was forced to retreat to a hotel last week and check in under an alias. The first incident happened on June 17 -- one week before the NBA Draft -- when a written note threatening Weisbrod's life was taped to the front door of his house. The latest incident happened June 30, the day the Magic officially traded superstar Tracy McGrady and three others to the Houston Rockets for Steve Francis, Cuttino Mobley and Kelvin Cato. Vandals wrote threatening messages on the glass front door of Weisbrod's house with some sort of marker. http://www.floridatoday.com/!NEWSROOM/spor...0707WEIBROD.htm I wonder if it was Steve Francis trying to stop the trade LOL.
I agree the guy was stupid for dissing T-Mac, but Death Threats? That is not right , You guys in Orlando take things way too seriously
Wow. Never knew being a GM would be so hard. Idiots with death threats and he's still rebuilding the franchise at a fast pase. Dust your shoulders off John,Dust your shoulders off.
Obviously the guy/gal doesn't care about the Franchise(Magic). Obviously the guy/gal doesn't know s**t about Orlando Magic. And he/she has a way too much time...
retarded. people think that they can solve everything by threatening to kill someone and over something as ultimatly as trivial as this. (in the grand scheme of things this doesnt even rate in the top 10 of things to be upset about). and didnt T-mac want to be traded anyway?
