The Clipper make their decision whether or not to match Q today by 12:00 ET. What do you guys feel the chances od getting him are. At this point I would say 50/50. The Clippers have been looking at many trades about possibly picking up a shooting guard (Kittles) which tells me that Q may not be a priority. I think they would be stupid not to sign him though. What are our chances?
As a Maverick fan, I'm very scared. If the Clips match, Phoenix can go after Dampier, and I think they have a great chance to get him. That would make Phoenix a major contender next year. Let him walk Clips! Let him walk!
I think they will match him, I dont think Kittles is better than Q and the Nets want Wilcox in the deal for Kittles, which WOuld be stupid on the Clips Part..I see him wearing Clipper colors next season..
Considering Steriling is there owner I say they dont match. Ladt year he had a break out year matching both brands and maggettes offer sheets Q on the other hand doesnt have a great shooting percentage and was offered a very huge contract by the suns I dont think sterling will match. If he is perssuing trade options now it shows he has givin up on matching the deal to Q it would not be smart of him to match a offer that big to Q even though he is a very good player he shoots a bad percentage and has not proven he can average points consistantly.
