Our team when an opponent repeatedly drives into the paint and kicks out to the corner for an open three.
milwaukee had one of the best defenses in the league last yr and they gave up the most corner threes of any team. but they defended the hell out of everything else while manipulating offenses to find crappy shooters open in the corners
That strategy did not work so well for Tom Thibodeau. When you start asking a coach/player to be someone they're not, you've already lost. I've never found yelling at someone, especially someone who is elite at what they do, has resulted in long term success. Personally, I would prefer they come up with a better game plan given their roster make-up than have a public screaming contest.
Can someone show me a good team defense that isn't made up multiple above average perimeter on-ball defenders?
Most teams with good defense only have one shitty perimeter defender, so they can hide him on the worst offensive player on the other team. We unfortunately have two. A lot of those corner threes were CJ for some reason cheating into the paint.
